Lucky Charm Mo Farah behind £2m fortune

Double Olympic gold medalist, Mo Farah, has no doubt become one of the most talked-about athletes of the London 2012 Olympic Games. "I am old enough to remember a time when things were run off a shoe string budget before National Lottery...having these guarantees for the future will be a huge boost."

Sir Steve Redgrave backed up these claims.

"We used to get a lot of silvers, but since the Lottery funding has come in, those athletes are providing the results."

Finally, Olympic Golden Girl, Jessica Ennis couldn't praise the National Lottery enough.

"Funding from the National Lottery and the Government has helped and supported me throughout my athletics career and allowed me to attain my goals."
